3COM0063 Computer Science Project Suggestions

You can either choose a project from the list suggested by the staff, or you can come up with your own original suggestion (and you are very much encouraged to do that) but beware of making up your own idea which is just a simpler version of one of the suggested projects lest you find that there is not enough challenge in it.

At present we have not completed the process of transferring suggestions to the new format. In the mean time, therefore, we have several lists.

• Consult Staff by Topic: when I know how many students are doing this style of project, I will know how many staff will be involved, and only then I am likely to find out who!


• Look on the Web:
  You will also find many different ideas if you do a "Google" search on ``project suggestions''. But do not try to contact staff at other universities: they will have more than enough to do dealing with their own students. It is best to restrict the search to the .ac.uk domain, otherwise you get lots of american school science fair type projects.
