This is the web site for all the old-style CS4 project modules. See below for lecture slides and assignment specifications for the project modules;

Module Aims and Learning Outcomes
The "Module Information for Students" gives the dates of all the assessments, etc.

The following is the schedule:

Week 1 (induction week)
- Lecture 1 (about the organisation of the module)
- Lecture 2 (about how to do a good project)
Week 2
- This lecture continued the material presented in induction week.
Week 3
- Lecture 3 (explaining what is required for the first assessment ... the DPP)
Week 4
- Lecture 4 (from last year's slides) was about using your tutor meetings effectively.
Week 5
- Lecture 5 used slides from the Information Hertfordshire pages on Studynet about researching information sources and from previous years' lectures about researching information, and also about avoiding plagiarism. [These are last year's slides]
Week 6
- There was no lecture this week.
Week 7
- There was no lecture this week.
Week 8
- Lecture 7 gave some feedback on the DPP.
- Lecture 8 should explain what is needed for the IPR and the additional progress reports.
Week 9
- Lecture 9 gave a strategy for doing a successful project. As well as the slides, there was a handout for this lecture (which is probably easier to follow if you were not there).
