Department of Computer ScienceThis will be somewhat different from the previous two demonstrations. Your group is to make a presentation of your finished system to one or more members of staff, who will be acting as clients for this purpose.
You will have 15 minutes for your presentation, plus 5 minutes in which we will ask questions. We will be running to a fairly tight schedule, with quite a few alternative systems to consider, so you should be well prepared. You will lose marks for a lack of professionalism.
Your presentation should take the form of a guided tour of your system; you may use your own test data. We will provide an NT machine (bring your own, if you like) in E250, plus a whiteboard. You can bring any other props that you think appropriate.
You are strongly advised to do a pilot run, to make sure that your timing is feasible.
You must write a project report to your I.T. Manager. The purpose of the report is to apprise senior management of how your project was progressed, what sort of problems were encountered and how you managed these difficulties. The report should be accurate (reflecting your actual experiences on the Willowbank project) and concise. It should be kept to about 2 pages (excluding title page, appendices etc.)
