Last updated at January-2010.

August-2009: I am co-organising, with Dr Mei Yii Lim (Heriot-Watt University), a symposium in AISB 2010 named "Remembering Who We Are - Human Memory for Artificial Agent". Visit the following website for details: http://www.macs.hw.ac.uk/~myl/AISBRWWA.html

18-February-2009: I visited the virtual reality laboratory in Beihang University where Dr. Shujun Zhang works. This visit aims to establish the research collaboration between ASRG (my research group) and her group based on the recently established funding from Royal Society.

18-November-2008: I visited Pro. Ono's robotic laboratory in Future University Hakodate, Japan. The main aim of this visit is to exchange and discuss ideas with them regarding research in the area of agent migration and human-robot interaction in general. Their new ITACO room is impressive!

11-November-2008: I visited Prof. Prendinger's research group in National Institute of Informatics (NII) in Tokyo. I learned a lot from their research project - particularly their leading MPML3D research. It seems stepping into Second Life and Open Simulator is pretty much an important step to IVA research in order to create user-shared context in the most convenient way (online virtual space).

5-November-2008: We started the evaluation for the recently created Virtual Agent Storytelling Interface. It takes place in a local playgroup SNAAP from November 2008 to January 2009. I want to say thanks to the children in SNAAP, their parents and helpers there for helping our study. I hope the software can help children to understand better narrative. Please visit the website which was designed for this activity.

31-October-2008: My new homepage launched :) Thanks for my colleague Hasan's CSS and header files. The design of this website is similar to the one which Hasan did for our research group (Adaptive System's Research Group). I personally perfer simple design and informative contents. I hope you can find useful information here. Otherwise, please contact me.
