In Semester A we are using the logic circuit design package, LogicWorks 4.1. This is installed on certain of the Faculty and LRC PCs, but the newer version (v5) is also available to purchase from the publishers or from bookshops.
(Note: at the University of Hamburg, they have created a similar system to LogicWorks, called HADES. It is freely downloadable and has similar overall functionality to LogicWorks. One day we may convert all our work and notes to use HADES; for now they are incompatible, but you may like to play with it.)

In Semester B we are using the WISM68 MC68000 Simulator for Windows to run machine code programs. This was originally written as a final year project by Matt Hildred, a student at DeMontford University, and he has updated it to add more features that we will find useful on this module. It is freely downloadable if you want to run it on your PC at home.
