First taught in 1999, this is a two module course that requires attendance at two lectures each week for one academic year. The course code is 3COM0051. It is normally studied by students on the final year of the B.Sc. in Computer Science at the University of Hertfordshire.
The course team is James A. Malcolm, Joseph Spring, Gordon Steven and Patrick Quick.
Notice: The Friday CNPA practical cum tutorial is no longer staffed.
There should be a course plan that shows what each lecture is about, what sections of the book you should be reading, and which has links to multiple choice questions for that week.
The first coursework was handed out on 21st October, this is a slightly corrected version. It is worth 10% of the course marks. There are also some brief additional notes clarifying the intent in setting this work and how you should do it.
The second coursework will be a series of on-line tests.
The exam will be worth 80% of the course marks.
In the LRC you will find past papers for the PUNT and Computer Networks courses. These are a good guide to the kinds of questions that you may be asked on the CNPA course.
