Notices for the course will be placed on the course web page at http://homepages.feis.herts.ac.uk/~1com0012 and also on the CD1 Notice Board.
The course web page also provides links to details of the course delivery and assessment and to other relevant documents.
The coursework and exam are weighted 50:50. Officially, the DMD states that you must pass the examination, and pass the course overall. In other words, strictly speaking there is no need to pass the coursework. But in practice it is best to aim to pass the coursework and the exam. It is far easier to get 50% on the coursework and 50% on the exam (which is 50% overall) than to get 100% on the exam (because you got 0% on the coursework).
The Coursework Plan describes the assessed work you will have to do during the year. We hope you will do a lot nore work than the small amount that we are able to assess formally.
Copies of past examination papers for this course are kept on-line by the LRC.
